On January 27, 2014, Fayette Fabrication celebrated its official ribbon-cutting. Governor Robert Bentley, along with local dignitaries, representatives, media outlets, friends, families, employees, and local businesses celebrated the launch of a new Alabama business.

"Gov. Robert Bentley will join other state and local officials in Fayette to announce the opening of a company that will manufacture and refurbish “racking systems” that are used to transport finished parts from automotive suppliers to manufacturers.
Fayette Fabrication, an Alabama-owned company, will invest $1.5 million in equipment and inventory. The company expects to create 50 jobs in the next 3 years.

“Gov. Robert Bentley on Monday welcomed a new automotive industry in what Fayette officials hope could be the beginning of business rebirth in West Alabama.
Fayette Fabrication officially became the newest player in the auto manufacturing supply world, which has steadily taken hold since the opening of Mercedes-Benz U.S. International in Vance in the 1990s.
“We’re a small company. We’re just getting started, but we’ve got big plans,” said Mark McClanahan, president and CEO of Fayette Fabrication, to the more than 100 gathered in the Second Avenue facility for the grand opening. “There’s no doubt there’s a big need here, and we can do it here.”
Dubbing itself a “supplier to the suppliers,” Fayette Fabrication’s six employees will create custom racking systems that serve as elaborate transportation packages for automotive parts.”
